Default Anyone install a GT supercar pump?

I finally got my GT pump and was planning on installing it this weekend while I have some time and to get that part out of the way prior to my SC install. I will be honest I am a little nervous about doing this. I have read a ton of threads about the install, but was wondering if anyone out there has actually done this? And if so what words of wisdom do you have to make the install a little easier.

Thanks!

I installed the gt pump in my car. It really wasnt too hard. The hardest part is cutting the wires and splicing new terminals since the gt pump terminals are a little different.

Thanks guys. I am going to try and tackle this install over the weekend. I just need to use up a little more gas since I have about 3/4 of a tank left.

I installed a GT pump in my 01 Roush last Sunday. The instructions on E-how are a little lacking. The fuel basket mod that they show you is best done with a carbide bit in a die grinder. First tried the drill and bit route and ended up with more of a jagged/cracked result. So on the bottom and other side I used the other method with the desired result. Good luck with the fuel line from the pump, It's a biotch to get back on. I used a heat gun to soften the plastic fuel line. Also a word for the wise don't use the pinch type hose clamps from Autozone, they are chinese crap that will not return to normal once you pinch them. Good luck, Not tying to scare you just take your time.

My car is currently at Extreme Performance in Glendale AZ for the initial tune after installing long tubes, O/R x-pipe, 1780 BBK TB, 44 lb injectors and COPO's from Accel, Spintech side exit, AFM PP, P1SC 10lb, and Spec aluminum flywheel W/stage 2 clutch. I'm shooting for 425 RWHP.

Dude I was just up at Extreme talking with Marty. He is going to be tuning the car once I get the Vortech installed. I sent you a PM.
