well im not going to buy pi heads then buy trick flows when it will only be a year or 2 before i switch out the shortblock for a built one

MU7, yea exactly i would be going with I beams and forged pistons and about 12:1 compression. spinning to atleast 8k. thats what id like to do anyways. the cobra pistons would be just to get me by since theyre only $100 anyways.

I wouldn't pay 100$ for those rods and pistons, there worthless you can get them out of lincolns in the junkyard, i just threw out like two sets of em. I would look for a set of forged pistons, and pick up brane new coyote rods or terminator rods.

i would go with what everyone is telling you, forged pistons and rods. if you are hell bent on cobra pistons, just buy a mark viii engine and us the short block. its the same as the cobra short block except it has a cast crank like your gt
