pros:
maybe some hp gain
sound

cons:
check engine light
inspection could be a problem
getting a ticket
the smell for some people

with that being said i think its worth it for the sound. i know that sounds stupid with all the cons but a lot of people will agree with me the sound its awesome.

Could never agree more!! My car sounds amazing and I have no cats or mufflers. Just the H pipe. I get alot of complements for the sound. I have had this setup on the car for years now and i wont replace it LOL

Dunno what a cadalitic converter is ... But if you are choosing to cut them off you better buy a tuner to shut off the o2 sensors and hope no one sniffs your tailpipe

but my brothers owned multiple cars, and everytime hes went to the welder guy, the welder guy tells him that the cat will burn his car up?..... im suspect that that guy is a crook, but im just wondering

what do you mean burn the car up? like make it catch on fire? If the guy keeps cutting your cats out and telling you that hes probably cashin them in at the scrap yard for 20$ bucks or more a pop. hahaha

do it I love not having the cats on mine, the sound is amazing, it doesnt smell all that bad, if you keep the o2's in the car and have them in the stock position I have never one time in all the mustangs I have had ever once thrown a cel because of it.

I feel stupider after reading this.

The word is catalytic.

Living in CA., cats are a fact of life. I just run a catted X with SLP LM1's, and it is plenty loud. Most cops just look to see if there are cats present. Never had a problem getting busted for it. I just keep the stocker for smog every 2 years.
