Default getting really frustrated, brand new iac and tps

I read a thread a few weeks back and I can't find it again, but the point is my rpms are hanging at around 1500 when I push the clutch in when I'm getting to like a stoplight but after a few seconds of being stopped it falls down to normal abruptly. Really frustrated with this please help.

Thanks

Thats a common issue with these cars, first think I would do is change the plugs and see if the condition changes at all. Alot of people make restrictor plates or cut there own IAC gasket with smaller holes which will get rid of the hang but its like a bandaid covering up a diff issue.

1500 is high, but my RPMS will hang around ~1100 at times while stopping (until I come to an abrupt stop). I always assumed this was to keep the RPMS up while you are using hte brakes since they are connected to the power steering so the car doesnt stall if the RPMS drop Low and you all the sudden put a heavy load (i.e. brakes to stop the car from a crash) on the motor

My car has actually settled down to doing that. Now it goes down slowly to about 1100 so I'm not really sure why or what the hell was going on with my car but its all good now (I hope for good)

There are a few fixes you can do. Use the search button! I'd link them for you...but you know. Use the search button!

I put a small rubber faucet piece in my tubing and it actually seemed to help a little. Idle is more often at correct idle speed rather than 1000-1100 rpm.

don't worry so much about it its not a big deal, your rpms will drop as soon as the car comes to a complete stop. there are "fixes" and tweaks you can do to try to make it drop quicker, but I wouldn't mess with it, especially if you are getting tuned or have a tune
