Default Suspension is iffy....Advice?

The suspension on my SN95 GT is getting iffy. It's stock and has 116k on it. I don't race it or take crazy corners in it but lately it tends to scrape the exhaust going over speed bumps unless I go very very slow. I am talking stop at the top of the speed bump and let it slowly roll off with my foot on the brake. And pot holes/any bumps in the road are highly felt. My girls 03 V6 (all stock) feels much much better. Is it time to upgrade, or can I wait? Money is tight so if I do switch it out what would be my cheapest/best option? I don't need anything crazy but if I can have good performance and maybe lower it a little for cheap that would be nice. If I need replacing I would do it myself (Im ok with cars, but have friends that rebuild engines, work at tunershops...ect so I would have help). Anyways what do you guys think? How long can I ride it out like this? What's my cheapest best option to upgrade?
