Did it have pretty bad fuel milage? I would guess if your air filter was plugged, spark plugs were fouled, fuel pump was screwed, did you change your fuel filter? With all that stuff together you could of lost up to 20%(this is just a possible estimate, not a fact, due to not dyno'ing before and after) of the power you should of had. So what your noticing is it's running normal now. And depending how old your oil was... its lack of proper lubricating (as it's designed to do) means a whole hell of a lot more friction and heat build up in the engine which that robs power big time by itself.

The fuel mileage was ok but wasn't great!! I neva really knew how it was suppose to be. ya kno.. I shoulda checked everything once I bought the car. But now It's good to go and I will be sure to keep it that way!! And yes I replaced the fuel filter as well..
