Battery light blinking, already changed alternator?

Is the car still dying out at times?
Under what conditions does the generator warning lamp come on--literally randomly or is there any pattern (low rpm, deceleration, ???). Does it come full on. dim, flicker?
Check the voltage between the generator housing and the negative battery post with the engine running and the headlights on--in a perfect world it should be 0.0V, anything more than 0.5V indicates a less than ideal ground path from the battery to the generator.
Then check the voltage between the generator output terminal and the positive battery post--this should also be 0.0V, anything more than 0.5V means there's a bad power path between the generator and battery.

The car is actually running fine, no problems with performance. The light comes on once in a while at various times. Pretty much randomly. It will stay on from 5-10 minutes at a time. The light is on full every time. When I replaced the fuses and disconnected the battery, the light was off for a whole day and then came back on.

There are a number of tests for the charge indicator lamp listed in the info I posted previously. You could also monitor the system voltage with a DMM (the cigar lighter socket is a good source) and see if it changes when the indicator is on--this will indicate if there is a voltage issue and the lamp is operating properly, or not...
