Is a GT transmission compatible with a Cobra?

Is a GT transmission compatible with a Cobra?
I have a 96 Cobra and the transmission locked up. I was wondering if a GT transmission would work because they are a lot cheaper.

Which is fairly easy to modify

Just swap the tail shaft from your Cobra T45 onto the GT T45 that way you don't have to move the crossmember

Yep bramas is correct, the cobra and gt had the same transmission except the tailshafts were diffent

did you price out the cost of just rebuilding your stocker?
