Default j&m brake lines (rear)

Hey guys, this weekend i did a brake upgrade. I put slotted\crossdrilled rotors all the way around with ss lines, and a full brake fluid flush. (Just a lesson learned always bleed the master cylinder or it will cause a world of frustration.)

Question i had was this......when i went to replace the rear brake line i noticed on the passanger side there is a Y connection into the rubber hose. it looks to me as it the supply comes in one side and feeds that caliper and then the other line on the Y jumps over to the driver side to feed that caliper. the only problem with this is the stock hose has this Y as part of the brake lines so it can not be removed. the J&M lines did not have that connection on either one of the hoses. i am contacting AM about this issue but i was wondering is anyone on here has run into this problem.

as always thanks guys for the input

ok update.....i contacted j&m and they told me i bought the wrong lines. apparently the only mustangs that have the Y connection like i described are the ones that only have front anti lock brakes and not all 4 wheel anti lock. has anyone heard of this? i have speed sensors in the back wouldnt that indicate i have rear anti lock as well?

Anywhom they said if i shipped the lines to them they would send me the correct set. anyone have any knowledge on this?

I have not heard of ANY car that only has ABS on the front!

If you have that gear on the back with the sensor, you do indeed have rear ABS and why I was confused by your post.

^ If so, am i going to have any issues putting this on w/ my car? I was reading though your post & was a bit confused. I am just posting up because I was planning to order in the next week or so.

Thanks

^ those are originally the ones I had on my car, prior to what I have now. They were just fine, but seems to me we needed to bend the bracket a little so it would fit correctly... no biggie.

I have those same lines sitting in my room, sonic. Just waiting till I pull the rear end to install the Cobra brakes to put them on.
