Thumbs up 96 GT with a vortech blower

I have a 96 GT i bought bone stock with 90k on it and every maintenance record ever done since the previous owner bought it new in 96 anyways i just finished installing a vortech v1 on it and am wondering a few things.

First instead of buying the expensive aftercooler from vortech can i just buy a cheap ebay front mount and some universal plumbing like my ricer buddies?

Also will i still run the bypass valve vortech supplied or will i need a blow off valve like on the turbo cars?

What can i safely turn the boost up to if i intercool it using vortechs complete supercharger kit on a bonestock 96 GT coupe?

Any suggestion or comments on improving it are welcome

Yes, you can use an ebay intercooler and universal pipe kit. Just need to clock the head unit. Most guys with pi cars run 8-10psi on stock internals, with a good tune it "should" last a while. With the npi setup I've saw people running 13psi because the npi setup doesn't make as much power. It really just depends on how much power it makes. If it's less than say 430rwhp it should stay together. If you're maf setup is a drawthrough setup keep the bypass valve like vortech has it. If you run the maf after the blower you can mount the bypass valve before the maf and use it either way you like.

good to know.

So with a front mount, the supercharger, upr x pipe, and an otherwise bonestock GT what can this safely make?

Im not running a tune according to vortech i dont need one since it runs a FMU.Is a tune necessary the car runs excellent as it is.

If your running the 8psi pully Id expect 340ish rwhp.
