taking shifter outta gear with out clutch
I have been able to take it outta gear without the clutch for a while, it doesnt go into gear once it's pulled. I was told that it's not good for a trans to do this but I havn't had any adverse effect from it.

yep, slight pressure on the shifter then just let off the gas and it will pop into neutral, wait for the revs to fall and it should slide into the next gear. I had to do it all the way home when the clutch cable in my truck snapped.

I wouldn't downshift the transmission with out the clutch (only because you can't rev match) but you can upshift all day long. All you have to do is find the point at which the engine RPMs match the transmission's rotational speed. Once you get a feel for those points, it's not an issue.
I use to do this a lot when I was getting off a 12 hour shift and didn't feel like pressing in clutch.

haha i do it prolly 400 times a day in my Peterbilt so its no big issue. do it in my Mustang and my F150 too just to show off for people, as long as it doesnt grind no different then using the clutch.

Same here. I have been a truck driver since 1982. I don't use the clutch at all unless I catch a red light. I learned to shift on an old crash box tranny (no syncros). Probably been shifting without a clutch longer then some of you have been alive.
