I have the car up in the air due to some complications with a ball joint. had a friend rev it while i was under it, and i could just barely hear the noise.

I'll post up what happens after i get the stock H pipe back in with cats.

It was the BBK off road x-pipe. I hear around the net that others had similar issues.

Bolted back up the Stock H-Pipe with cats. Sounds so quite now....

anyways anyone want a bbk x-pipe?

Wow sorry you had to go through that whole ordeal. I was wondering how you tighten up the passenger side manifold. There is one bolt that is a straight shot for me then the other i have to use a U-joint for and its really tricky, I was wondering if you found a good way to tighten it. I am hearing a similar noise but at idle to 2000 rpms. I am thinking i need to replace the gasket.

Sure not a problem, I used a semi deep socket with a unjointed to get it off. By semi I mean regular deep sockets are to long and get in the way, very frustrating. If you need more reaching room take off your starter motor. I never bothered with the starter just wedged my tiny hands in as good as I could.

Use patients this project really pissed me off.

Or an impact gun, with a swivel joint. Do NOT Use a u joint with an impact gun. Learned the hard way when it fell apart flinging the socket into my face at 70mph.

Oh and when u tighten it back up.

Put a jack up against the h pipe to hold it it evenly, or it won't mate into the gasket evenly. Also tighten both nuts evenly, turn the top turn the bottym turn the to turn the bottym etc. I made the mistake of tightening one at a time, causing the gasket to crush unevenly.
