wow i did not know all this for just the fluid...my tranny leaks outta the output shaft and slings up on the under carriage i pulled out the fill plug and alittle poured out and let it sit...ended up slowing down the leak i wonder if i should drain it and redo it...it only crunches into 4th when it really cold outside like around 40F so once its warmed its good hmmm...good knowledge cliff!!

Does the Cobra have the TR3650 tranny?
But that question aside, in any tranny that I have had, if fluid comes out the fill hole then it is definitely overfilled. In the case of the Mustang 3650 (and probably any other 3650) the proper fluid level is below the bottom of the fill hole (I think I read somewhere about 1/4"... of this I'm not sure as I just go by qty put in)

Assuming you mean the '03/'04 Cobras, no. They used the Tremec T-56 6-speed tranny.

3/4" per the TSB...

I have "checked" this using a cable tie with a 1-1/4" 90° leg bent into it--use it through the fill hole like a dipstick...
