Post KB 11PSI to much boost for GT?

5spd GT, right now the intercooled 2.1 KB is tuned to 11PSI. The dyno says 418rwhp, is this to much for a bone stock 4.6L GT? The car has 77k miles on the motor/body the S/C has been strapped on for roughly 30-40k miles I am considering buying the car. Any feedback? I am also thinking about having it tuned back to 8PSI soon as I buy it.

The PSI and horsepower are fine if the tune is good.

See I dunno the guy says the tune is superb... You know tho some people can tell stories. No shakes, ticks or knocks when running and it shifts smooth so I am just at odds.

I totally understand your concern. If it were me i'd throw it on the dyno, and see where things are at like a/f ratio, timing, etc...

agreed. Definitely in line with getting there on the stock internals, but by no means pushing it. I would strap it on a dyno to confirm a/f ratio is on and it also cant hurt to do a compression test when buying a new car either. You should be fine though

As long as its a good tune it should be safe. As the others said do a compression test and if it was me I would find a reputable tuner to throw it on the dyno and check the tune and do any modifying to it as necessary. Those numbers are more than safe with a stock motor with a good tune though.

I don't know and I doubt the current owner really knows either. I have a garage I am going to take it to next week and let them check everything out. I will know then I am going to have it set back to 8PSI.

When playing ith supercharged cars like this they need to be dyno tuned, i wouldnt just have a garage play around changing boost levels or messing woth the tunning at all unless its a reputable dyno tunning shop.
