Default What is the best mod for a 97

If you had the money, the best mod would be a head swap..

But other than that, you should look into replacing your 839898 cats with something aftermarket and free flowing..2nd best mod!

I think that for under $200 you are looking at:

1. 3.73 or 4.10 gears

2. Underdrive pulleys

3. Shifter

4. Cold Air Intake

I'm not an expert, but I've done a lot of reading on the board

IF YOU HAVE A LITTLE MORE THEN 200 BUCKS. THE BEST UPGRADE IS A SET OF 4:10 GEARS. THEN SAVE TO GET A SET OF PI HEADS.

as i see it the issue with people is they dont want to save up, but rather do instant gratification cheapie bolt ons when a PI head swap may cost more, butit will be well worth it.
