It mostly depends on how you drive. If you drive it like you stole it anyway, you may not notice much difference.
If you always drive for good mileage, you will see a reduction in mileage with a shorter ratio. Probably around 2-3mpg on hwy going from 3.27 to 3.73.
More rpms WILL burn more fuel. Every cycle injects fuel into the motor, so more cycles equals more fuel injected.

It will effect the auto moreso that the 5sp. But if it had no effect at all on the rpm or gas mileage then we all would be running 4.30s and such

yeah, that's all city. my car never sees the highway, ever. its a 2 mile ride to work...and what a fun ride it is

Anyone here install a set themselves? I have thought about doing it myself to save some $$ but I would need some help with the backlash measurements and what not. I do know that the shop on base can help so I may consider it.....just wondering whats all involved. I guess the pinon gear if I am correct is pressed in....is that right?
