what is a 96 Cobra engine worth?

what is a 96 Cobra engine worth?
Found another one locally, says its out of a 96 Cobra, engine got hot..he swapped in a later model engine.
Complete with heads off.
Comes with block and complete intact rotating assembly, timing parts, heads, valve covers, intake manifold, oil pan, no exhaust, upper plenum, TB, etc..
He is asking 450 for it all...
Worth it? Ive got en email sent to him now asking the mileage on it, etc.
It IS a Teksid block...

How can I verify it is a Cobra engine vs a MK8 engine?
In his words "comes with every nut, bolt, washer, peice and part to be a complete engine, top to bottom"
He said when it overheated he literally had a shop get a complete drop in motor, and they plucked his complete motor out as it sat and dropped in the new one, hooked up the injectors, fuel system, exhaust, wiring...and off he went.
Then they took the top end apart to see what happened...just said "overheated, blew a gasket".

That sounds like a pretty good price.I bought my 96 cobra engine for 1k with 55k on the clock.Mine was completely assembled when I bought it.I don't think it was ever tore apart.For $450,if it's all there and rebuildable is a really good price.Keith you keep beating me to the punch(reply).
