Default Brake light problem

I have something strange going on with my mach 1. I just got my brake fluid flushed/filled/bled etc on Thursday and on Saturday my brake warning light came on on my instrument panel. First thing I did was test the brakes to make sure they still worked and sure enough they did, but after braking for abou 5 seconds the light went out. I thought to myself ok cool so I started driving again and the light came back on. Braked again and it went out. So why is my brake warning light coming and staying on when I drive, then turning off when I brake?

Sounds like the fluid is a little low, did you check it?

Could be several things.

Check the parking brake handle/switch make sure it's not pinched/loose (could be a coincidence it started having issues afterwards)

How did they flush? From master cylinder to the wheels or reverse flush from the wheels to the master? If you have ABS they should have done the reverse flush. Sounds counter intuitive but its to avoid air bubbles and excess water from the MC making to the ABS Module.

Could also be an air pocket in the MC where the brake fluid switch sits. Some light tapping on the switch with a small wrench should get the bubble out of there.

Air compresses, fluid does not.

Thanks derf. I'll try that when I get off work tonight. I couldn't say how they did it I had a mechanic do it and if I don't get it fixed soon they'll be taking care of that nonsense for free. I just found out I'm having a kid and can't sell this car with a brake light coming on and off for no good reason.
