1998 GT Bolt on add on?

Well it depends on a few things, but if it were me i'd probably go with 4.10's. Do you daily drive it? Any plans for big power down the road? These are things to consider.
A tuner is around $400 new. Switching to premium fuel is up to you. You'll gain a few more hp, but obviously it's more expensive. You can also switch between regular and premium as well.

yes its my daily driver and eventually i would love to have more power. id like to push at least 320HP some day. i know my stock 98 gt only pushes out 225HP. do you know how much more of a gain or the positives of a PI intake manifold swap?

From what i hear a full PI swap + full bolt ons and tune will net you around 260-265 rwhp on average, which isn't too far from a 320 fwhp. The intake alone may give you 15 hp or so, but i'm not real sure on that.

So i should swap to 4.10 gears? this is my daily driver and in a week i put in about 60 miles. its currently not running but im purchasing another 98 GT engine with 90,000 miles. any suggestions i should do before i install the engine? just to make life easier now

yes i believe i have a bent rod since its the second time its happened. my current engine has just shy of 200,000 miles and i had a 1996 V6 which also had a loud rattle noise inside the engine like the how my GT has now (what do you think it was?). only thing is that this one wont start. my 96 was a stick shift and i was able to start it up (was a button start, weird i know) although it would rattle like crazy. i purchased this GT for only $1100 do to the high miles
