Default 5.4l swap done, but new motor wont start? video

Just finished my 4.6 to 5.4 swap and the motor wont start. Everything is connected and I double checked. Could it be bad gas as it has been sitting since February?, Could it be the injectors. It seems likes its not getting fuel. Anyway I don't know what to do next.

I put a video up of it turning over if that helps.

Its the Timing since it almost fired with the starting fluid, seems like its to far retarded it turns over to quickly. Did you build the 5.4 yourself? if not do you know that the motor was running before you got it?

It's a reman from an 03-F-150. I haven't heard of the timing being an issue from any of the threads I have been using to do the swap. I do know there is a sensor just to the left of the crank pulley and its hooked up, ( I think it has something to do with timing).

Check that crank sensor it may not be reading at all! Other then that re-verify that you have spark and fuel. It don't hurt to check the compression.

What did you use as far as ECU goes, I'm not 100% sure but I beleive the PAT (PAssive anti-theft) systems on the 99-up are actually tied into the ECU itself rather than a stand alone brain unit like the 94-98, if your using a different ecu this may be the problem but again I'm not sure this would also explain why it would start with the fluid because the PAT will cut power to the fuel pump when it registers a problem. An easy way to check this is to get a batter from another vehicle and place it under the rear bumped and discconect the plug for the fuel pump and jump the wires directly to the battery and youll hear the pump come on, then start the car and see if it runs.

I'm using the 4.6 ECU, and harness and all the sensors are from the mustang as well.

Sure sounds like a timing issue with the popping.
Also in first video it seem like the engine is cranking over too fast to easy.(like no compression) I would check the compression and go from there.

Just my 2

Did you use your 4.6 PI head on that block with adapter plates?
Or did the motor come with the heads on it?

{ Its the 5.4l heads, and I'm using the Reichard Racing plates. I would have been done with this 3 months ago but the 5.4 Hardballer intake is on back order so I got the adapter plates and stock PI intake for time being. }

are you getting fuel at all? cycle the key on and off and listen for the pump to A come on and B for the pitch to change once pressure gets built up in the system

even with bad gas it should start and just run like crap...

whats the rest of the motor look like? MAF, injectors, etc?
