I replaced the hoses a few months ago-I'm pretty sure it's the t-stat housing or some other part of the manifold.

So, if a plug or injector is now fouled by coolant do I just clean both as best as I can? Would I have to worry about coolant in the cylinder? What would be the proper way to try and start the car up again?

I'm really hoping it's just a loose plug...

And here's to hope realized-the #8, or farthest back plug on the passenger side was flopping around inside of its chamber. That plug is a real b**ch to deal with, what with that fuel rail shield in the way. Any suggestions on how to better deal with that? I'm guessing it comes off but it's dark and the car's running again so I'm done for the day...

That's #4, #8 is at the rear of the driver's side...

If you are referring to installing an threaded insert it is indeed a PITA to get at--it's best to pull the fuel rails and intake manifold if you are trying to install an insert...

No I wasn't referring to a threaded insert, just wondering what some people did to make dealing with plug #4 easier. I've read that some people remove that bracket/shield thing attached to the fuel rail, for example. I'm going to have to go back in there and test the tightness of that plug-I'm sure I snugged it but I don't EVER want to deal with this again...

I use an extended plug socket, and whatever length wobble extension happens to fit (6" IIRC).

Haven't found it being any but perhaps a bit awkward--I've seen a lot worse.

True. The plugs & wires on my '97 LT1 were a complete nightmare...
