Default Wheel Bearings

I had replace the front wheel bearing hubs about 25K miles ago, and they one has gone bad apparently. I don't know if I just got a bad part what but seeing as i have to replace them again. Any recommendations on brands or maybe common mistakes in installing them? Thanks for the input.

I've always heard great things about timken. Rock auto has them for pretty cheap, about $45. I assume you made sure to torque them to proper spec?

incorrect TQ as mentioned. Does the car pull to one side or another at all? Has it been in a front end collision ever?

yes, I torqued them down correctly. It hasn't been in a collision. It isn't pulling to one side but the noise just started. It does stop when turning one direction, but not the other. I do have slotted rotors and my pads are toward the end of there life so i'm wonder if that might be the cause of the sound now.

I believe the where duralast. Also, the reason i'm wonder if it might be the rotors is because the noise stops under braking, but it also stops if i turn left. Its probably also worth noting that the brakes do pulse a bit as well.

Well, if your brakes need replacing anyway, then may as well try that first. Duralast wheel bearings are supposed to be junk from everything I've read though. Buy the Timken's

yeah, I used timken when i rebuild my rear end and i have been happy with them thus far. I'm gona get the car in the air this week and and see if i can figure out anything. I feel like it might be the brakes just based on the fact it stops under braking. Its funny too because the brakes don't always pulse, I don't really know what to make of that.

Do you need to replace the spindle nut? I have read you do and you don't... last time i didn't and they hubs are bad now so i'm inclined to replace them... If so does anyone know a good place to them?

I know I had to when I did it on my old truck. It was a lock nut, and only works once. I found it at rock auto.
