Default How much of hp gain from headers?

Hey guys I have a FBO 04 GT with stage 2 hitech cams. Put down 300whp 336TQ not really where I want to be. My tuner (who is apparently one of the best in the country) thinks I would gain 30-50 WHP with longtubes. Was wondering if anyone has seen anywhere near a power gain like that with similar mods. Plz get back to me thanks!

Lol, no. It would be everybody's first mod if that were true. Pain in the *** install (or figure a full day's labor charges if you make it somebody else's pain in the ***) for about 10rwhp. Maybe 15 on the extremely optimistic side.

Those stock heads too? Did they mean peak hp gains or gaines at some parts of the power curve? Probably meant peak. I also have doubts about that much power gained though you do have cams so you would see a little bit more than a stock cammed car.

I had long tubes installed and I like how they sound and it did add some power but the power band moved up and I felt like I lost some lower end grunt as a result. If you can install yourself I'd still get them.

it would be fair to say 10-15whp in ideal conditions. My buddy's car was fbo + comp270s and stock heads/motor it made 310 wheel
