new BUY 04 gt
#11
I paid $12k for my '03 GT with 30k miles on it--in December of 2006...
A very motivated seller, he had planned on a quick private sale to pay off the loan so he went out and bought a brand new F-250 King Cab diesel 4x4 for 0% down. Next he found out that selling a car in a private sale, for more than $8k to $10k, is rather difficult--banks don't like to finance them, few people have that kind of cash lying about, and those that do are not interested in 3-year old modified Mustangs.
By the time I saw it he had it advertised for over 5 months (eBay and AutoTrader for $16k down to $13.5k) with nothing but tire kickers looking at it.
Someplace over that time his GF got into that "delicate" condition, they got married and he inherited the payment on her 2005 BMW; 325 to go along with the notes on the Mustang and the F-250.
A very nice fellow, I asked him "What do you owe on it?"
Turned out to be $12k, so he and I went to the bank and got the title...
