Default Relocating coil packs?

Ive seen some people talking about their relocated coil packs but I cant find any good pictures or good mounting points for the coils. Im not doing this for any performance gain or because im throwing a turbo or s/c on it and need the room, i purely am trying to clean up my engine bay. Anyone do this and have any tips or pics of where they mounted theirs? Im sure someone has....

My only comment is that making plug wires longer is never a good thing--that is perhaps the single greatest advantage of COPs...

Thanks for the input Cliffy. I wasn't planning on lengthening the plug wires really, although the plugs for the coil packs would have to be lengthened to accommodate for the new locations. Would changing which plug wire goes with a certain cylinder make a difference though? I would have to swap plug wires between cylinders to make everything fit. I know you're the electronic expert so lay it on

As your car has the wasted-spark EDIS system (read more about that here) you can swap the plug wires between each pair of plugs (1 & 6, 3 & 5, 4 & 7, and 2 & 8), however you cannot swap across pairs--for example swapping 6 & 3.

You are most likely not still running the stock plugs, however if you are you should also swap the plugs in each pair if you swap a pair's plug wires. This is because Ford used special OEM plugs that had either a precious metal center electrode, or a precious metal side electrode, depending on the firing polarity.

These plugs are not available in the aftermarket so if the plugs are not OEM don't worry about this issue...
