Default HID projector reto COMPLETED

SO i wrapped up the retro a few weeks ago and thought now would be a good time to share.

Projectors are FX-R (low and high beam)
Morimoto 6k bulbs(should be getting my 5k's today)
Re used my ballast from the "HID kit"

now for some pics!!

Mounting the projector to the halogen reflector




Made a custom shroud to cover the projector and reflector
Baked a sheet of acrylic

projector mounted on "vacuum table"

wish someone made a plug and play HID projector kit..

why arent there any aftermarket high quality kits? or are there? i havent been able to find one.

If you made a bunch of these setups i bet you could sell them well, but yea it would be alot of work.

they have aftermarket projectors, but they are cheesy and still for halogen bulbs. im sure youve seen em before. I'll have to post my paypall info so i can start taking deposits. lmao.

I love my projectors, and even without an HID upgrade it was still a great improvement over stock. Picked them up at AM.

I applaud the craftsmanship and all you did...but it looks friggin UGLY to me.

The mustang housings are too big and they look like eyeballs in there...

Thanks for the complamint, and your opinion is as welcomed.Its funny bc these get nicknamed "bug eyes".

No worries. I took the LED route (blue dash, LED license lights), but sometimes you can feel they just don't fit. (For me it's in the tail lights and third brake light).
