Default BBK 96-96 midpipe on 04 GT

I bought a bbk o/r h pipe for the shorty headers. Now, I heard that this particular midpipe won't fit to a 99-04 GT as there is a leak on the drivers side where is connects to the manifold. What can I buy to avoid this?

Well you should stay away especially from products that are known to cause heachaches.

As for your question:
Install it (first) to see what you've got. If your super lucky it may not leak (no harm, no fault). If it does however leak then drivers side studs need to be replaced. If you take a closer look at them you'll find that they have a shoulder on them . This will not work with your aftermarket mid pipe. You need to go to your local NAPA STORE as they are the only ones I have found to have these they are 10mm x 1.50 pitch about 2 inches long remove your factory studs and replace them with these problem solved. Or just do this from the get-go for insurance/peace of mind.

That should do it.

Thank You.

I heard that you can buy some sort of donut gasket instead of the doing the studs. Anybody know where you could find this?

So i tried to put the midpipe on today. When I removed the stock midpipe, I removed the 02 sensors from the car itself since they were just stuck on. The o/r h came with o2's on the pipe already installed. But the front o2 wiring is too short on the fronts to match up. What can I do about this. Oh and the drivers side midpipe studs do not go in the "plate". Is it ok if i just drill the holes a little bit more in the "plate"?
