Check Engine Light Flashing

Check Engine Light Flashing
I've read a couple other posts on this issue but my situation varies just a bit. So I wanted to get a fresh start on ideas.
A couple months ago my Check Engine Light came on and it came up as a bad O2 Sensor code. I ended up not driving the car at all shortly after that, so I never replaced the sensor. About a week ago I started driving the Mustang again to and from work. It's about 15 miles total a day. The CEL wasn't on at all until yesterday. But as I was driving home I noticed the CEL flashing for a few seconds, then going solid again. Along with this comes a minor sputter or hiccup in the engine as I get on the gas.
Any ideas?

ive been told that a flashing check engine light usually is spark related. if you can, get a scanner and see whats causing the check engine light to come on. your o2 sensor could have gone bad from the car running to rich from a misfire.

i just had this issue! 1. do you have a cold air intake? 2. do you have a tuner? i have a shelby gt and the shelby tune dropped out of the computer. your o2's should be throwing out a lean code if this is the same issue. what happens since your o2's are reading lean your computer is getting confused. also the CEL flashing means your car is going into a limp home statis! if you have any more questions about it i don't mind helping at all it's frustrating not being able to ride.

The PCM on the older EECV models does not flash the MIL when FMEM (Failure Mode Effects Management) mode is engaged.
It flashes at a steady rate during severe misfires only. The OP needs to get the code(s) read and go from there, speculation and anecdotes serve no purpose...
