2000 GT Ticking noise Passenger side
Hello
I bought my car about 6000 km ago and since then this tick has gotten worse in the beggining it was just when i started the car and after it warmed up it went away but its become more and more frequent and now for the last month or so its been all the time when i drive but only when the car is in gear and im at around like 1500 and above rpm not when i idle and not when i give it gas in N or park its an auto so originally i though maybe tranny seeing as its only when the cars actually moving . but the more i read around it kinda sounds like te timing chain problem these engines have i was wondering if anyone had come across this and if they had to help me out a bit whatevers wrong im doing myself but i dont want to rip my engine apart untill i have a more specific idea but at this point im like 90% sure on the timing chain
Thanks
Jamie

If it is only happening when in D and not N or P then it most likely isn't the timing chain.
Does the noise change based on speed and/or rpm? If rpm related I would think transmission, and if speed related I would be looking at rear end or axles or brakes or wheels.
