OR/H pipe install (couple of questions)
Ok so this weekend I will probably take down my stock h pipe with 6 cats on it from 1998. And put on a Mac or/h pipe.
1. Before breaking these bolts loose I used wd-40 on all the bolts too make them loose is this ok??
2. What is hard about removing the stock h pipe?? Also what specific tools will I need.
3. Is the passenger side manifold bolt hard to get to if I drive up the car on some ramps??
Thanks in advance.

1: Ive always used PB Blaster on bolts that are for exhausts but WD-40 should work just fine. Even with PB or WD forty i never seem to have the best of luck and ALWAYS have atleast 1 stubborn bolt that doesnt want to move so I use a blow torch to heat it up a little and it comes right out.
2: Moving the stock pipes arent bad, it's always easier with a second pair of hands to keep stuff in place without anymore trouble. Defently get some extentions if you dont already have some do you can get into the tight places on the driver and passenger side where the headers and the h pipe connect, normal sockets will work.
3: Ramps shouldn't give you an issue it's just the amount of space to work with under the car is the sucky part but its very doable without issue. Just get those extentions and your golden.
If your going to a non catted setup just make sure to get some MIL Eliminators or your cars going to throw a code since its catts are removed.

The wd-40 is fine, the manifold bolts can always be a pain depending how seized they are, just hope you dont snap one of the studs cause then your in for a big PITA.Removed of the h-pipe will just take some elbow grease once all the nuts and fasteners are removed.

They tend to rust and after so many heat cycles they tend to seize up. When they do people try to use more and more torque thus snapping the bolts. If you take your time, let them soak and turn them a little at a time you should be fine. When they do start turning and it gets hard its because they are heating up from the friction. When they do thats when people keep trying and SNAP....
