That being said would two like cars one with 3.27 gears and the other with 3.73gears both set on cruize @75mph right beside eachother for a given time even though the one with 3.27 gears cruizing rpm will be 500rpm lower than the one with 3.73 would they be burning gas equally and both get the same gas mileage?

ppl say on the highway that "gears dont affect the mileage Alot" and the term Alot varies from person to person I went from 26-27 mpg down to 22-24 mpg with the only change being gears at the time that may not be alot to some but it may be alot to others bc going from 26mpg hwy down to 22 is only a 4mpg drop and multiply that 4mpg x a 15.7 gal tank thats a loss of 62.8 miles out of a tank bc of the gear change. 26mpg x 15.7 gal tank=408.2 mile cruizing range. 22mpg x 15.7 gal tank= 345.4 miles cruizing range on a full tank. Small to some Alot to others when its all said and done.

If you're going to go gears, you're going to want to get a tuner as well. You'll certainly feel the difference with either, and feel it even more with both. I'd say start with the tuner (I don't have an auto, but from everything I've read autos really benefit from a good tune do to cleaning up the shift points). After that go gears, and bama will send you a new tune free.
Gears + Tune is going to be my next mod. American muscle seems the way to go, and if you want a custom tune from someone else down the road so be it.
That all being said, exhaust would be/was my first mod. But I love me a mean sounding mustang.
