Default 4.10 top speed in 5 speed car

Like the title says, for those of you guys out there with a 5 speed and 4.10's whats the top speed you get out of 4th gear? My car should be down in the mid 12's this spring and I don't want 4.10's to be to much. I was originally going to go 3.90, but if I can run a 4.10 anf get away with it I will.

All varies by the overall diameter of your rear wheel/tire combo, without that cant say fyi

Yup, you will be right on the edge with 4.10 gears (depending upon how high you are willing to spin it). You should be trapping at around 6000-6300rpm depending upon how much power you are making. Remember that those rpms are hanging for a short while in 4th since you are gaining speed more slowly on the big end (not like the quick cycles thru 1st and 2nd).

I ran 4.10 with 275-40-17 tires and trapped as high as 112mph, but I didn't want to push it any more than that.

I do run 3.90 gears now, but that is due to the mph I gained with nitrous (118+mph).
If you are really in doubt, I'd get 3.90 so you still have room to grow a little.

im running 4.10's with a 275/40/18 (~27" tire) and have my limiter set at 6800 so in theory my car will go as high as 128ish through the traps

im aiming for VERY high 10's with the new build on nitrous so we'll see how it does...
