OK, so as i was putting my mgw shifter in i dropped the allen key for the bolts, how do i get them out? They fell to the left, well, not to the ground, i have no idea how to get them. Any suggesstions? Also, how did you get your shifter off the transmission?

try one of those magnetic extendable antena things. I have 2 and they save my butt all the time by picking out a tool or bolt i drop.

+1 on the magnetic pickup tools, one of these can be useful too.

As to getting the stock shifter off, I used a small block of wood as the fulcrum and an 18" pry bar...
