Zoom 30019 clutch anyone?
I'm having this clutch installed on my 03GT and I'm having a hard time finding reviews. I read to not use the T/O bearing so I might use a Ford Racing one.
Anyone have this or heard any reviews?
Is it worth getting the Ford Racing T/O bearing?
How much HP can this clutch handle?

Summit has never, in over 30 years of my buying from them, sold me anything that did not perform well.
As to using a Ford TOB, this is largely urban legend based upon those who purchased the cheapest no-name OEM "replacement quality" clutch kit that could possibly be found--and then likely did not properly adjust the cable.
I have been running the TOB that came with a RAM HDX kit from Summit for 2 years and 45k miles--it was made by some outfit named Timkin¹...

Im running one of they're cheaper, slight oem upgrade clutches right now. The only issue Ive had is with the throw out bearing failing due to a bad clutch fork and pivot ball. The bearing still lasted over 15k miles with the pre-existing issues, and I will be doing the clutch fork spring mod this time along with a new bearing, fork and ball. I have no intentions of replacing the clutch or pressure plate unless those where damaged as well from the fork issue. I still have a clutch and pressure plate with plenty of life in them from the last bearing failure, suspected to be from the clutch fork not properly retracting. I am also suspecting my factory adjuster to be failing. For more information with the clutch fork retracting issue http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...eplay-kit.html
and a quote from another site:
"TOB's on our cars tend to go out very often because our trans is assembled in a way that the TOB is often loaded against the pressure plate at all times, causing it to always be spinning and eventually the bearings will dry up and start squealing prematurely. Also most TOB's are made of metal and get hot. The Timken one has a kevlar housing and resist heat better.
Once you have your new TOB and everything in, you might want to buy the LDC freeplay mod (or make your own), which is basically a spring you put around the clutch able where it meets the shift fork and it takes away the slack and helps keep your TOB unloaded when you are not pushing the clutch pedal."
