Hey guys.

I bought my 03 GT used, and it only had one key fob. The one I have left broke off my keychain so I carry it separately, and now I've finally lost it. I noticed before that when I try to manually key into my car it actually activates the alarm, and I can't deactivate it without the fob. How can I actually get into my car without activating the alarm, and how can I deactivate it without the fob? The manual isn't giving me much help ... thanks. I simply just want to be able to key into and lock my car without having alarm issues.

Is it actually the Ford system or is it an aftermarket alarm? If Ford, buy a replacement remote and do this:

I just bought a new remote by watching this video! I have the same issue, one FOB, except I still have mine (dont want to fall into the same trap as OP). I hope this works on my 2010 Mustang!! I will let you know.

There was no factory installed alarm on any new-edge ('99 to '04) Mustang, there was however a dealer installed, Ford "branded" system, made by Code Alarm, later sucked up by AudioVox.

If it is the Ford/Code Alarm system there is some good info in this thread, as to how to disable it...
