Best Bang for the Buck Modular Engine

have you considered longblocks from MMR like this one for example MMR Street Mod 750SE 4.75 Liter 2V Longblock (up to 750 RWHP) price $4799.99
or MMR Street Mod 1000SE 4.75 2V Longblock up to 1000 RWHP) sale price $4899
Instead of picking up a Used motor(with an unkown history to you) for like 8 grand this would be a Brand New built motor for less than 5grand.
just an idea http://www.modularmustangracing.com/

I hear you on the MMR longblocks, however, the cost savings that I would get from getting a complete take out cobra engine and trans would be a lot less than having to buy all the stuff to complete the 2v conversion into a 1967 mustang. In addition, the 4v termi looks a lot nicer cosmetically than the 2v.
On that note, your response makes me think a little deeper.... I wonder if I did buy the complete take out, I wonder how much I could sell the stock cobra long block for..... Then use that money to upgrade to an MMR long block. Anyone knows what the price of a used stock cobra long block would go for?

Thanks for the Links Rockwell. I have been keeping my eye on them and unfortunately can't pull the trigger on these until I make my wife happy with a new deck and hardwood floors. If they are still on there by June, One will be mine!
