another noise with a vibration
OKay guys 98 gt when i go from a stand still i start to release the clutch and there is a like knock noise and i can feel something vibrate at my feet. i know that after the cat on the passenger side that there is no weld and the pipe is sitting in there or the weld broke at some point since ive owned it for about 4 months. im due for an oil chang at just 3200 miles since the last one i used quaker state 10w30 synthetic. and im thinking about a heavier oil would that be a good idea? also when i accelerate it makes a noise like something metal is spinning. but it doesnt sound like a rod like one of my previous cars. if you go under the hood and give it a little gas you cant hear it. its just fustrating

It sounds like you have a drive train problem of some sort. You need to get it up in the air and check it over. And you are just throwing money away with the oil change. You can run synthetic oil at least 5k unless you are doing track time.

Oil? I wouldn't go any heavier than manufactures specs. Unless you have an engine build that would require it.
The metal grinding noise? Does sound like a drivetrain noise. My 03 GT only has 50k miles, but I have noticed a faint sound coming from somewhere. Sounds as if a bearing is running dry. I have a tendency to leave foot lightly riding the clutch pedal. Makes me think it could be the throw-out bearing?
If you ever figure it out, keep us posted.
