So I ended up getting the plastic PI intake manifold from the 04 GT with 45K miles, I am going to try to get the heads from the same car as well.

Is there anything else I am going to need, like an altenator bracket from a PI setup (I think I read someone you need to swap that too)?

I just very recently replaced the stock intake manifold for another non-PI intake manifold just to get it home basically. Will I be able to reuse the intake manifold gaskets? What else am I going to need besides the intake manifold, gaskets, and heads to complete the job?

I know the car is going to need some new plugs and wires as well, any suggestions with this setup? My car has 150k miles on it, but replacing the top end with 45k parts is a plus. Should I be worried about the block and transmission?

I will get into the rear end in the future. I plan to change out the gears on it.

Thank very much for the help. It is appreciated, and will be put to good use.

you are going to need:

PI intake manifold gaskets

i just used to 2 bottom bolts for my alt i didnt even end up using a bracket, worked fine for me

new head gaskets and bolts obviously (get the Ford Racing kit off summit for like $100)

on a side note, while you have the heads off, spend the $40 and get modified intake valves from MHS
http://modularheadshop.com/Parts.htm...nd_seal_combo_

this way you can add a set of pretty decently sized cams down the road without having to pull the heads AGAIN...

theyre very easy to install btw and this isnt a suggestion... you need to do it... or else lol

I can't seem to find the head gasket / bolt combo on summit.. I can only find the head gaskets themselves. Do you mind pointing me in right direction?

The cut PI intake valves sounds like a good idea, I will most likely go that route because I was thinking about upgrading the cams in the future. Thanks for the heads up.

the sleeves are so you can put the bolts in without leaving the bolts hanging out the bottom and f*cking up the deck in the block. drop the head on, pull off the sleeves and torque them down, all there is to it.

and i did my motor out of the car so i didnt even need them...

ATTABOY!!!! the UEGO gauge is one of the coolest things i had in my old car, everyone says its a ricer gauge, but a wideband is an AWESOME tuning tool and honestly the one i paid attention to the most

thanks for clearing that up. Guess the wording of "bolts you can't remove or install" threw me off a little.
I'm getting the itch to build up my motor but I really need to rebuild the suspension first...it's getting to feel like I'm riding in a bouncy house lately.
