Engine rebuild with Forged block ???
Hello, I have a couple of questions. I use this one shop that does engine rebuilding. They have done an Expediton and Altima for me and the cars run great. Now onto my question
Is there anymore to rebuilding an 4.6 if you want to forge the internals to prepare for future SC Or can I just buy a forged balanced rotating assembly from MMR for the 2v and then have this engine shop put the engine together with the parts I bought?
The guy obviously knows what he is doing but Im not sure how much more there is to a rebuild if your planning to supercharge in the future.
I also have a guy that specializes in mustangs that I would want the machine work done by. So perhaps I can have the engine shop tear apart, then have other guy do machine work and then take back to engine shop to put back together. Is it that simple?
I was gonna save up and buy a SC and then install on my engine that has 111k miles, but Id hate to be limited on the boost after installing supercharger, So I figure I can just save up and buy the forged internals, then SC and then have installed all at once.
OR is it possible to use a 5.0 stroker with 9:1 compression and get 400 FWHP? If thats possible then I wouldnt mind just getting a stroker rebuild and keep it NA.
Thanks and sorry for the long post.
