Default sluggish 97 gt

i have a 1997 mustang gt 4.6 liter. my buddy accidentally drove it 5 or so miles with the parking brake left on the other day, and ever since then my car hasnt been running right. when i accelerate hard it feels like its lugging, almost like the brakes are still on, and then all of the sudden it picks up and feels like its running on all horses. i dont know if that has anything to do with the parking brake instance but i changed the plugs and the fuel filter and it still does it! anything will help!

Could have done something to the rear brakes. You need to jack the rear end up and make sure everything is turning freely.

Agreed. Sounds like maybe the rear brakes are still binding.

When is the last time you cleaned the MAF? I would definitely be checking the brakes. And don't let him drive your car anymore.

Agreed. The parking brakes will stick when they get heated up like that.
