Backyard Fog Light Restoration
hey everyone, noticed my fog lights were blowing bulbs and filling with water, so I removed them and started a little fog light resto... take a look...
materials used (exept for lens restoration, i'm sure someone else has covered that at some point)

after i got them off the car and after i baked them @200C for approx 10 mins (attempt at your own risk, i damaged the lip of the housing trying to pry the lens off)

lost all the reflective coating, so I planned to use chrome in a can

I also damaged the housing while prying it out of the bracket, JB Weld should take care of that

after a quick sanding with 1500 grit and a couple coats of white primer, ready for paint (on the bottom one you see the bump where I jb welded the **** back on...

not quite as shiney as i expected, interesting to see how they will look in the vehicle...

after a liberal bead of silicone in the groove on the housing, i pressed in the lens and ran another bead along the outside edge for insurance, don't want to have to take these off again any time soon (Ever)

I'm putting them on the car tomorrow, i will upload pics with the final product shining
