If you decide on buying a CAI, I personally like this one
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BR6WC2

I don't like the chrome look on a lot of them available, and I don't like the filter being jammed into the fender.

The price on Amazon is about $30 less than other online stores and about $50 less than at your local parts store.

I wouldn't buy it for HP gains. Buy it for looks.

You are going to get a lot of personal opinions and responses to this topic. The Steeda CAI has seen gains of 7-10 RWHP without a tune.

Here is a customer testimonial regarding the CAI:
I have a 2004 mustang GT. The Steeda CAI was the first thing i bought. not only do you feel the power increase but the sound and dress up of the engine bay was awesome. I also liked not having to worry about puddles since it sits in the engine bay and not near the ground. I highly recommend this product
The CAI is just one piece of the puzzle when adding mods to your car. This is an inexpensive option that will provide instant returns.

PM if you have any questions or if you would like to place an order.

There are other CAI's on the market, get one that is American Made by an American Company, and see for yourself the Steeda Difference.

Best Regards,

TJ

I've often wondered how the french horn design of the stock air box even made it thru common sense engineering

Save your money and just remove the snorkel. Drop in a K&N filter.
