Default clutch pedal hardness on auto to manual convert

I had my 01 mustang converted to a stick shift. The pedal is a rock and even had a new dual friction centerforce clutch installed. The model trans they used i believe is a 1999 not a 2001 for my car. I believe it should have a 3850 in it but has the model before. Can that have something to do with the hardness of the pedal. I tried 2 different clutches and i am just unhappy with it. I am thinking about converting back to auto but really dont want to spend the money. Any ideas why the pedal is so hard. My brother has the same year car and the same clutch and its much lighter.

Does the car shift/drive properly? If the clutch is soo stiff, maybe there is resistance in the cable or something. I am not familiar with the pedal pressure required to operate a Centerforce dual-friction clutch, but should not be as difficult as you describe.

How does it compare to other clutches you have used?

it shift fine its just real hard to push the clutch in. It was a little better when i got the centerforce clutch but not much. I feel like there has to be something wrong.

Mustangs are naturally stiff, so it may be normal. My mustangs were insanely stiff compared to my Fireturd and my Thunderchicken.

Sounds like the clutch fork might be binding up, that or you have a cable/quadrant issue.
