Default Custom Tunes w/ Used & Unlocked SCT X3

I just purchased a used and unlocked SCT X3 from another forum and I was wondering how I can get custom tunes for my car. I emailed Bama and they said it'd be $150 to buy into their custom tunes for life program. Which I don't want to do because that would make buying a used tuner pointless. So will I be able to get tunes for my car without buying into that program?

you can use it to tune your own car by going through the menu and after you get serious into mods ie: lower, nitrous, or turbo then it can be used by the performance shop to dyno tune your car.

So I can tune it to my bolt ons myself? I'm just looking to get a nice street tune and to calibrate my speedo for the 4.10s.

I'm talking with the guy I bought the tuner from. He's got a shop that does tunes and is gonna get back to me on a price for a single tune. Like I said, I've just got the basic bolt-ons and the gears so I want a nice street tune for that. Later on I plan on dropping in a cam but I'm most likely gonna go get it dyno tuned for that.

run the preloaded 93 octane tune for a decent street tune until you digg deeper into mods.

^^ it probably doesnt have the preloads on it. Im guessing but the previous owner probably had a dyno tune or something that erased the preloaded tunes and then he cleared the tunes so theres nothing on the tuner. This is basically what happened with my first tuner

Ohh sh.. I didnt know they clear out after a dyno tune has been on them. My last two tuners were used(unlocked) but the person that had them didnt have their car dyno tuned. I wasn't aware of that appreciate the clear up.

Idk if that's the case but I bought an xcal 2 and when I got it there were no preloaded tunes on it so I sold it to someone who needed it for a dyno tune and I bought an xcal 3 from AM

Tuner came in today. I just flashed it with one of the preloaded tunes. Went with the 91 octane one since that's the highest you can get from the pump here. Just glad to have a calibrated speedo again haha. I've been averaging just about 20mpg (last tank I got 20.5) before the tune, interested to see if that increases at all. Gonna be kinda hard to tell now that it's a/c weather, though.
