Squeaking Around Back Seat

Squeaking Around Back Seat
If anyone with a '94 to '04 Mustang has squeaking around the back seat area, check the the upper panel that is exposed after you fold down the rear seats. The top of the Rear Panel Shelf brackets may still be bolted down, but one of the brackets itself may have BROKEN AWAY, causing a rubbing, squeaking sound. I tried a Super Glue attempt, but it didn't last too long. It may have to be taken out completely, and be welded back to the bracket itself. Just a heads up. If anyone else has a permanent fix, please let me, and anyone else know. Thank you.

My car does that too! but forsome reason only my passenger side rear seat will fold down.. I think the squeak is coming from the other side and that seat wont fold down.. I need to just get in there and take a close look at it..

That's what my seat did too. I lifted up the package tray just a tad, and I was able to pull the seat back down. My brother owns an upholstery shop, and he is going to use some special epoxy to tack the rear tray to the brackets. I hope it works.
