A/C blows great, Max A/C doesnt
Ive searched the forums and i havnt found anything specific to this problem, maybe someone has some insight?
My normal AC works great, blows strong and cold.
A few months ago, my MAX a/c stopped blowing out of the vents, and to be honest, i dont even know where it goes. The inside of the car doesnt get cold.
So heres the scenario, as best as i can explain it.
Normal A/C will be on high, blowing strong and cold. When i switch it over to MAX A/C, stuff happens behind the dash and after 3 or 4 seconds the airflow stops and it still makes noise like its blowing, yet nothing is coming out of the vents...
Any help would be great!

The difference between A/C and MAX A/C is that MAX recirculates cabin air and A/C pulls from the outside at all times I believe. I'm not sure what would cause the recirculation to stop working. Some sort of valve or sensor?

Thats my last hope. I had it checked for vaccume leaks, but that was alright. I really hope that someone comes in here and knows where to look, i checked behind the glove box and didnt see anything that looked useful, but then again i dont know what im looking for.

Electrically the two modes are identical, it is only the position of the cabin air inlet door that changes.
In Normal mode no vacuum is applied to the cabin air inlet door motor and the flap is closed as shown above--only outside air is supplied.
In Max mode vacuum is applied to the cabin air inlet door motor and the flap is open as shown above--outside air is blocked and cabin air is supplied.
So regardless of whether the cabin air flap is open or closed, or in between, there should be some air being supplied. To my mind this leaves the vacuum selector switch as suspect, if it is not aligning all the doors as they should be for Max operation it could be one of the other doors is blocking the air flow?
Here is the complete system description from the shop manual.

At the risk of sounding facetious, you begin by taking it apart and seeing what is wrong--here is the HVAC control panel R&R from the shop manual...

Thank you very much for all that information. I may take it apart tomorrow just to see if maybe a vacuum line cracked, or maybe fell off. I dont know Air Conditioning is something i know absolutely nothing about.
If i dont find anything wrong, im going to go over to pick your part and get some practice removing the actual switch and reinstalling it before i attempt it on my own, just to be safe.
