Default 98 GT Cutout Valves... Worth the Money?

I own a 1998 GT conv. and I'm thinking about doing some things to the exhaust system. Have exhaust bypass valves/cutoff valves worked well for any of you? Can I simply weld them in after the stock manifold?

Yea there are quite a few differences between a gm 6.0l pushrod v8 compared to a 4.6l ford v8 and they sound quite different.

My bro has cutouts on his Challenger SRT-8 and it sounds beast! I don't know what it would sound like in a mustang though.

Every set I have ever seen always end up leaking.

If you put them on just for sound then thats fine, a waste of money if you ask me on a stock 98 but fine. Don't try to race with them open cause you will run slower.

I put some on my buddys car (1200rwhp turboed Vette) and used a window switch on them to open them at 4000 rpm. He ran 2 tenths faster then before install. He tried to run them open at launch and ran 3 tenths slower.
