blow by valve
hey guys, i'm about to up the boost on my vortech supercharger from 9psi to 16psi. how can you tell what type of blowoff valve will be best for your type of application? i was looking at the one vortech sells but its almost $300 and moneys always an issue.

i don't want the vortech one only because of price and i am running blow thru. i'm thinking of ordering the cx racing universal intercooler kit that comes with a blow off valve but i heard there could be tuning issues with that since there more geared towards turbos

Im not sure how much boost those cx racing ones can handle. Honestly when running that much boost a BOV is not somthing you want to skimp out on too much. Because if you get one that cant handle the amount of boost you are running you will force that air back into the blower and cause compressor surge.
I have seen a few threads about your setup, do you have any pictures of it? Im interested in seeing your car.

yeah man, save up and wait and do it right. Im guessing you have a built motor and a good amount of $$$ invested into it...not a smart move to skimp out on a part and save $100 bucks when it can cause more harm than good. You dont have to get the Vortech Mondo, as there are other options out there but I would wait and just save and invest into a good valve

i've got a ton of pictures of my build. i built it over the course of 3 years with most of the work done in the past 3 n half months. i did some pretty sweet custom work of my own like the wire tuck and relocating the fuse box into the fender with a custom bracket i made so its still asseble when opening the hood. i'm going to try and put them on a site tonight and post the web adress
