Default On the lookout for a block, that is an easy swap for my 97 GT

Sup guys, I just posted my new wheels n tires in the wheels section check em out!

But alas, I am on the lookout for a used block that can sit in the garage an be rebuilt. I am looking for an easy swap with little modification really needed. If I have researched correctly, I can either go with the cobra DOHC or upgrade to a 302, both which will fit under the hood without needing to modify/change the hood. Confirm this for me?

Cobra for sure will work. We talking new 302, or old 302?

I was looking for an older 302, maybe from a 94 or 95, I think those had 5.0 302's?

An no thanks on your GT block :P

The old 302 will fit, but it's a hell of a job to rewire everything. I would do a 4V swap.

+1 on the 4V Cobra Engine, the swap would be much easier.

I would go with the 4v.GL getting it to fit under a stock hood.Mine wouldn't so I picked up a cobra hood.

What kind did you get? The Mark VIII motor fit under the stock hood of my 96 GT without issue.
