Default Magnaflow Cat-back fitment issues

Hey,

So I am trying to install a magnaflow cat-back exhaust on my 1998 Mustang GT. I already installed the drivers side of the exhaust with no issues, and it took me only 10 minutes to install.

I spent the next 2 hours trying to get the passanger side to fit. The whole cat back exhaust is assembled and together on the car. The only thing not in place is the bracket that holds the rubber mounts. I have adjusted everything and I just can't seem to get the clearance needed to mount the bracket to the car.

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know, because I am totally lost. The exhaust just seems like it wont fit. No matter how I adjust the pipes, something doesn't clear.

Thanks,
DMD

Yep the entire catback is hanging there, it is connected (loosely) to the midpipe, and to the tips. Nothing is secured tightly, it is all loose.

The issue it is seems that no mater how I try to get the bracket attached, either the muffler hits the car, or the pipe connected to the h-pipe hits the drive shaft, the fuel lines, or the car itself.

Could the issue be with the midpipe? I could loosen the midpipe and see if that helps at all, but that's pretty much last on the list of things I want to be doing right now

A picture would be very helpful if you could, that way we could see exactly what is going on, my stock exhaust is REALLY close to the driveshaft so it probably just needs a slight tweak when you get it to there

Nevermind I figured it out. The pipe connecting the muffler to the H-pipe was just twisted wrong. My Dad showed me how it goes and it took 10 minutes to install. Really feel like an idiot now haha

Yeah for sure, love my Dad (he's the one who bought me the Magnaflows as a surprise graduation present!).

I'll get a video up of her running as soon as I can. It's been raining pretty bad all day and it doesn't look like it's going to clear up until later this week. I'll do some pulls on the side street by my house and I'll probably do some driving videos with my GoPro camera.

Thanks for the help guys!

Here's a quick video I made comparing the old exhaust to the new exhaust. The Magnaflows sound so much better. Oh and the video is in HD for better sound quality. Enjoy!
